Is it good to use soy bean and olive oil in your hair as a moisturizer ?

Olive oil is great for the hair but it doesn't moisturize it seals in moisture. But, you can do a hot oil treatment for some reason moisturizes. I don't understand that logic but it makes my hair feel soft!
